Songwriting: In The Summer

In the Summer - James Brynildsen

I don't like Autumn, trees turnin' brown

Too many harvest, leaves blowin' 'round

I don't like Autumn, birds flyin' away

Clouds they linger turnin' grey

I don't like Winter, when white has won

Cold winds blowin', can't feel no sun

I don't Winter, when my feelin's fray

Daylight shorter everyday

But I know...

In the Summer I kick off my shoes

 In the Summer ocean views

In the Summer we'll have long days

In the Summer run and play

In the Summer we'll be fine

 In the Summer, summer time

In the Summer time, In the Summer,

In the Summer time, In the Summer,

In the Summer time, In the Summer, In the Summer,

Yes I know...

In the Summer I'll chase my dreams

In the Summer let out a scream

In the Summer I'll make our year

 In the Summer drinkin' beer

In the Summer we'll be fine

 In the Summer, summer time

I don't like Springtime, as the creeks unfold

The water's rollin' by, but it's still too cold

I don't like Springtime, when my damage shows

Angel trumpets in my nose

And I know...

In the Summer on the sand

 In the Summer holdin' hands

In the Summer we're out of reach

In the Summer on the beach

In the Summer we'll be fine

 In the Summer, summer time

In the Summer time, In the Summer,

In the Summer time, In the Summer, Summer time.
